AI Referral Traffic & AI Crawler Data
Leadee reads traffic data you already have — Search Console and GA4 through a read-only service account, plus an optional Bing AI Performance export — and counts AI crawler hits straight from your own server logs. It puts AI referral traffic and AI crawler activity next to the Visibility Tracker's own measurements, instead of leaving you to guess from a generic analytics dashboard.
How it works

Authorise Leadee's read-only bot service account for Search Console and GA4, or import a Bing AI Performance export (CSV/XLSX) — no OAuth app approval needed for Google.

Import your server logs
Leadee's log parser counts hits from known AI crawlers (GPTBot, PerplexityBot and others) by page; it discards request IPs while parsing and never stores them.

Questions
Which AI engines does this cover?
Leadee measures ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Mode through their official APIs — never by scraping a consumer chat interface. Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot are planned once an official measurement API exists for them.
Does Leadee read my Google Analytics data directly, or do I have to export it?
Search Console and GA4 connect live through Leadee's read-only bot service account. Bing AI Performance has no equivalent API yet, so it is a one-time CSV/XLSX import per period.
Can Google Search Console or GA4 tell me which clicks came from an AI Overview?
Not directly — neither product exposes an "AI Overviews" traffic source today. Leadee shows what each source actually reports (referrer domains such as chatgpt.com or perplexity.ai, and Bing's own AI Performance tab) rather than inferring a number neither vendor publishes.
Do you store visitor IP addresses?
No. The log parser reads an IP only long enough to match it against the known AI-bot list, then discards it — nothing in the AI traffic module ever writes an IP address to the database.
Can GEO guarantee results?
No. AI answer engines change their output frequently, and no vendor — including Leadee — can guarantee a ranking or a mention. Leadee publishes confidence intervals on every metric so you can see how much a result can vary run to run.
How does Leadee measure AI visibility?
Leadee runs your prompt set against each AI engine on a weekly to daily schedule, depending on plan, through official vendor APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Perplexity, Anthropic, DataForSEO) — never by scraping consumer chat interfaces — and reports mention rate, citation rate, average position, share of voice and sentiment with a 95% confidence interval.
