AI Visibility API & MCP Server

Every module — Audit, Visibility Tracker, Citation Graph and Fix Engine — is available over a REST API scoped to a single workspace API key, and the same endpoints are wrapped as MCP tools so an AI agent such as Claude can call them directly. Two tools work with no key at all: a free scan and the public billing plans.

How it works

  1. Step 1

    Create an API key

    Generate a workspace-scoped key from Settings → API keys; it carries your workspace's plan limits, nothing more.

  2. Step 2

    Call the REST API or connect MCP

    Call /v1/* endpoints directly, or point an MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor) at the leadee-mcp server for the same data exposed as tools.

  3. Step 3

    Two tools need no key

    free_scan and get_billing_plans work unauthenticated; every other tool and endpoint needs your workspace API key.

  • REST API for every module

    Audits, Visibility Tracker runs and metrics, Citation Graph, Fix Engine tickets — the same data the dashboard shows, over HTTP.

  • MCP server

    The leadee-mcp package wraps the REST API as MCP tools for AI agent clients such as Claude Desktop and Cursor.

  • Workspace-scoped keys

    Every key is scoped to one workspace and its plan limits; keys can be revoked individually from Settings.

  • Python & JS SDKs

    Typed client libraries over the same endpoints, for teams that would rather not call the REST API directly.

Leadee's Fix Engine and modules run in your workspace on a schedule or on request — reading data, drafting fix plans, opening tickets — but Leadee never changes your website: you apply a fix yourself, or ask Leadee Experts to do it.

Questions

Which AI engines does this cover?

Leadee measures ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Mode through their official APIs — never by scraping a consumer chat interface. Google AI Overviews and Microsoft Copilot are planned once an official measurement API exists for them.

Is the MCP server published to a public registry yet?

Not yet — today it runs from a local checkout or a self-hosted deployment (see /docs for setup). Listing it on PyPI, npm and the official MCP registry is planned, not live.

What can I do without an API key?

Only two MCP tools — free_scan and get_billing_plans — and the equivalent public REST endpoints. Every workspace-specific read or write needs a key.

Do API and MCP calls count against my plan the same way?

Yes — API and MCP calls share the same monthly call allowance for your plan (see /pricing), whichever way you make the call.

Which plans include API and MCP access?

Starter covers 4 of the 5 engines and has no API or MCP access; Growth and every plan above it include all 5 engines plus the API and MCP server.

Can GEO guarantee results?

No. AI answer engines change their output frequently, and no vendor — including Leadee — can guarantee a ranking or a mention. Leadee publishes confidence intervals on every metric so you can see how much a result can vary run to run.

How does Leadee measure AI visibility?

Leadee runs your prompt set against each AI engine on a weekly to daily schedule, depending on plan, through official vendor APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Perplexity, Anthropic, DataForSEO) — never by scraping consumer chat interfaces — and reports mention rate, citation rate, average position, share of voice and sentiment with a 95% confidence interval.
