The best AI visibility tools in 2026

The best AI visibility tools track how often ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google AI Mode mention your brand, run often enough to catch real change, publish a confidence interval instead of a single score, and turn a finding into a shipped fix instead of stopping at a dashboard. Ranked below on those six published criteria: Leadee, Otterly.ai, Profound, Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit, Peec AI, Scrunch AI, HubSpot AEO, Ahrefs Brand Radar, AthenaHQ, Rankscale and Writesonic GEO.

Before you read on

Leadee is our product, built by Netbase JSC, and it is included in the ranking below. We are not ranked separately or given a bye on any criterion — every tool, including Leadee, is scored against the same published criteria and weights, and the order below is whatever that scoring produces.

Every competitor fact links to the vendor's own page and the date we read it. We never invent a rating, review or client logo for any tool on this page, ours or anyone else's.

How we chose and ranked

We scored every tool below on six criteria any buyer should ask about before paying for an AI-visibility tool, weighted by how much each one changes your monthly bill and how useful the result is day to day. Every score links to the vendor page it came from and the date we read it; where a vendor does not publish something, the score reflects that absence instead of a guess.

  • Engines included, no add-ons — 20% of the score

How many AI engines ship in the base price, with no per-engine add-on fee.

  • Run frequency — 15% of the score

How often the entry plan re-runs its prompts — daily scores higher than weekly or unstated.

  • Published statistics — 15% of the score

Whether results are published with a confidence interval, not just a single score.

  • Ships a fix, not just a finding — 15% of the score

Whether the tool turns a finding into an actionable fix and re-measures, instead of stopping at a dashboard number.

  • API / MCP access — 15% of the score

Whether API or MCP access exists, and how low a plan tier it is available on.

  • Entry plan price — 20% of the score

Monthly price of the lowest self-serve paid plan (or free tier, when one exists).

Ranked list

  1. #1

    Leadee

    (this is us)

Teams that want every engine a plan supports included at every tier with no add-on fees, a published confidence interval on every metric, and a Fix Engine that ships a ticket instead of stopping at a dashboard number.

    Strengths

    • All 5 supported engines included from the $149/mo Growth plan up, with no per-engine add-on fee on any plan
    • 95% confidence intervals published on every metric, on every paid plan, with a public methodology page
    • Fix Engine turns a finding into a ticket and re-measures after you ship it, from Growth up

    Limits

    • Starter ($29/mo) covers 4 of the 5 engines and does not include the Fix Engine or API access
    • Newer to the category than some competitors reviewed here, with a smaller published track record

Starting price: $NaN/mo (Starter, undefined, undefined) (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  2. #2

    Rankscale

Budget-conscious teams who want the broadest engine list at the lowest entry price and are comfortable with a credit-based, yearly-only entry plan.

    Strengths

    • The lowest entry price of any competitor reviewed here: $17/mo on its yearly-only Essentials plan
    • 15+ engines tracked, more than any other competitor reviewed here, on a transparent 0.25-credit-per-query formula
    • Run frequency as flexible as hourly, the most frequent of any competitor reviewed here

    Limits

    • The $17/mo Essentials plan is yearly-only — there is no monthly-billing option at that price
    • Pricing is credit-based, which makes the real monthly cost depend on how many engines and how often you run

Starting price: $17/mo on the yearly-only Essentials plan (no monthly-billing option); Pro is $99/mo, billed monthly or yearly (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  3. #3

    Otterly.ai

Marketing teams and agencies who already track AI Overviews/Copilot and want those two engines bundled in the base price, and are willing to pay extra for Gemini or Claude.

    Strengths

    • A large prompt-research toolkit with an "Estimated Intent Score" instead of a fake volume number
    • Agent Analytics and a mature suite of standalone free GEO tools (crawl simulation, prompt research, query fan-out, a prompt calculator)
    • Covers ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and Microsoft Copilot out of the box on every plan

    Limits

    • Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are paid add-ons on every plan, not included in the base price
    • Its own pages disagree on the free trial length (7 vs. 14 days)

Starting price: $29/mo (Lite plan, 15 prompts) (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  4. #4

    HubSpot AEO

Small marketing teams already using HubSpot Marketing Hub who want a low-cost way to start monitoring 25 prompts across 3 engines, folded into the suite they already pay for.

    Strengths

    • A free, one-time AI Search Grader snapshot (4 fields, "under two minutes", no account needed) across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini
    • Bundled inside Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise for teams that already pay for HubSpot, with no new vendor relationship to set up
    • The lowest entry price of any competitor reviewed here at $50/mo ($45/mo billed annually), with no published per-engine add-on fee

    Limits

    • Only 3 engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity) — no Claude, Google AI Mode or Microsoft Copilot listed
    • The monitoring product itself is in beta, per its own product page

Starting price: $50/mo, or $45/mo billed annually, per brand (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  5. #5

    AthenaHQ

Teams in one of AthenaHQ's covered verticals (ecommerce, software, finance, healthcare, travel and others) who want a free tier to start and credit-based scaling after that.

    Strengths

    • A free Essential plan (300 credits plus a $25 credit pack) — no paid plan required to start tracking
    • The only competitor reviewed here publishing industry-specific landing pages at scale (84 URLs across 11 verticals)
    • 11 engines on its Starter plan, more than most self-serve competitors

    Limits

    • Pricing is credit-based (1 credit = 1 AI response) rather than a flat prompt count, which makes cost harder to predict for a growing prompt set
    • The free Essential plan tracks fewer engines (5) than the paid Starter plan (11)

Starting price: Essential plan is free (300 credits, plus an optional $25 one-time credit pack); the first paid tier, Starter, is $295/mo (17% off billed annually) (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  6. #6

    Writesonic GEO

Content teams already using Writesonic for drafting who want AI-visibility tracking added to the same subscription rather than a new vendor.

    Strengths

    • Bundles AI-visibility tracking with Writesonic's existing content-generation tools, useful for teams that already write content there
    • A free, no-card AI Search Grader and five other free tools listed under its free-tools hub
    • All 9 engines available on its Enterprise plan, matching the broadest competitors reviewed here

    Limits

    • Only 3 base engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews) on its Starter and Basic plans — the full 9-engine set is Enterprise-only
    • The $79/mo Starter price is billed annually; the monthly-billing price is not stated

Starting price: $79/mo billed annually (Starter plan); monthly-billing price not stated (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  7. #7

    Semrush AI Visibility Toolkit

Teams already on a Semrush plan who want AI-search tracking added to tools they use for SEO, and who track one domain at a time rather than many client brands.

    Strengths

    • Topic-level AI search volume drawn from a disclosed database of 300M+ real AI queries plus machine-learning models, refreshed daily — the most transparent volume methodology any competitor publishes
    • Bundled into the wider Semrush toolkit many SEO and content teams already pay for, instead of a brand-new vendor relationship
    • A Prompt Research report that shows the full AI response and the brands/sources cited for every tracked prompt, not just a score

    Limits

    • Priced per domain — tracking a second brand costs another full $99/mo
    • Its own pages disagree on which engines Prompt Tracking covers and whether a trial exists at all

Starting price: $99/mo per domain for the standalone AI Visibility Toolkit (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  8. #8

    Scrunch AI

Teams that want the widest out-of-the-box engine list, including Google AI Overviews and Meta AI, and can commit to a contract starting at $250/mo.

    Strengths

    • The broadest engine coverage of any competitor reviewed here: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, Google AI Overviews and Meta AI, all listed as included rather than add-ons
    • Large prompt allowances (350-700/mo) with purchasable industry prompt packs for multi-brand tracking
    • A 7-day free trial with no credit card required

    Limits

    • Entry price is the highest of any self-serve competitor reviewed here at $250/mo billed annually ($300/mo billed monthly)
    • Run frequency is not stated on its pricing page

Starting price: $250/mo billed annually, or $300/mo billed monthly (Starter plan) (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  9. #9

    Ahrefs Brand Radar

Teams already paying for Ahrefs Lite or above who want AI-mention tracking as an add-on to a toolkit they already use for SEO.

    Strengths

    • A free, no-signup AI Visibility Checker that shows a top-5 preview (mentions, platform split, topics, cited pages) before any paid upsell
    • Daily, weekly or monthly refresh options, more flexible than most competitors' fixed cadence
    • Backed by Ahrefs' existing web-index and backlink data, which the Brand Radar methodology draws on for cited-page analysis

    Limits

    • No single published entry price — Custom Prompts require a paid Ahrefs Lite+ subscription plus $50-$250/mo add-ons, while the separate Brand Radar Index is priced differently (EUR 179/$199 select, up to $699/mo for all platforms); Ahrefs' own pages disagree on which figure is the entry price
    • Claude is only tracked on the higher-priced Index tier, not on the Custom Prompts add-on

Starting price: Not a single published figure — Custom Prompts come free with a paid Ahrefs Lite+ subscription plus $50-$250/mo add-ons, while the separate Brand Radar Index is EUR 179 or $199/mo (select platforms) up to $699/mo (all platforms); Ahrefs' own pages disagree on which figure is the entry price (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  10. #10

    Profound

Enterprise and mid-market marketing teams (Profound names Fortune 100 customers) in competitive categories such as travel, retail, tech and pharma, who can go through a sales demo and sign an annual contract.

    Strengths

    • Query fan-outs and prompt volume drawn from real engine grounding traces and licensed, opt-in consumer panels, not just an LLM guessing its own queries
    • Tracks up to 9 AI engines on its Enterprise plan, including Microsoft Copilot, DeepSeek and Exa alongside ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude
    • An "AI Marketer" agent that drafts and stages optimization work for human approval, across content, SEO, social and PR

    Limits

    • No self-serve paid plan is listed — only a free trial or a custom Enterprise quote reached through a demo
    • The free trial covers only 3 engines; the full 9-engine set is an Enterprise feature

Starting price: No self-serve paid plan is listed — the pricing page offers only the free Trial and a custom Enterprise plan reached through a demo (source, as of 2026-10-25)

  11. #11

    Peec AI

Agencies and marketing teams who want a tool purpose-built for AI-search tracking across several client brands, and do not need Scrunch's wider engine list or Ahrefs' bundled SEO suite — but must be comfortable requesting a quote instead of seeing dollar prices up front.

    Strengths

    • A dedicated AI-visibility tracker built from the start for this one job, with a documented query fan-out methodology and a study of 5 million AI query fan-outs
    • Agency and Enterprise tiers built around managing several client brands from one account, not just a single domain
    • Names ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini as tracked engines directly on its own product page, inside one clean, simple dashboard

    Limits

    • Its own pricing page names plan tiers (Starter, Pro, Advanced, Enterprise) without showing a dollar amount for any of them
    • Which engines ship on which plan tier is not stated on the page that names the engines

Starting price: Not publicly listed — its pricing page names Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise tiers but renders no dollar or euro figure in the page text; unverified third-party sources suggest a monthly figure, but we do not repeat an unverified number here (source, as of 2026-10-26)

Who should choose which

Choose Leadee if…

You want every engine a plan supports included at every tier, a published confidence interval on every metric, and a fix shipped instead of just a finding.

Choose a competitor if…

You already pay for a wider suite (Semrush, Ahrefs, HubSpot) and want AI tracking bundled into that subscription, or you need the broadest engine list (Scrunch, Rankscale) regardless of entry price.

Questions about this list

What makes a tool an "AI visibility tool" rather than just a rank tracker?

An AI visibility tool runs a set of prompts against AI answer engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude, Google AI Mode and others) and reports how often your brand is mentioned or cited — a different signal than a traditional search-engine rank tracker, which checks where a URL sits in a results page.

Do I need every AI engine, or just the ones my buyers use?

Only the engines your buyers actually use matter. If you do not know yet, start with a tool that includes ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity at minimum — the three named on nearly every tool in this list — and add Claude or Google AI Mode once you have a baseline.

Why does a published confidence interval matter?

AI answer engines give a different answer run to run, even for the same prompt. A single score from one run can be noise; a published confidence interval tells you how much that score can vary, so you know whether a change in your numbers is real or random.

Does a cheaper tool mean worse data?

Not necessarily. Rankscale ($17/mo) and AthenaHQ (a free tier) both score well on engine count in this list; price mainly tracks prompt volume, run frequency and whether a managed add-on exists, not data accuracy.

Could this ranking change?

Yes. The ranking is recomputed from the published criteria and the sourced facts behind each score (see the comparison matrix); if a vendor changes its pricing or features, or we re-check a stale fact, the order can move — including Leadee's position.

Does Leadee guarantee it will stay #1 on this list?

No. Leadee's position comes from the same formula every other tool in this list goes through, computed from the criteria above — not a promise. If a competitor improves on a weighted criterion, its score goes up accordingly.

Can GEO guarantee results?

No. AI answer engines change their output frequently, and no vendor — including Leadee — can guarantee a ranking or a mention. Leadee publishes confidence intervals on every metric so you can see how much a result can vary run to run.

How does Leadee measure AI visibility?

Leadee runs your prompt set against each AI engine on a weekly to daily schedule, depending on plan, through official vendor APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Perplexity, Anthropic, DataForSEO) — never by scraping consumer chat interfaces — and reports mention rate, citation rate, average position, share of voice and sentiment with a 95% confidence interval.

Who do I talk to?

Email [email protected] or use Talk to an expert at https://leadee.ai/contact-sales — the Netbase JSC team behind Leadee replies by email or WhatsApp — or WhatsApp the CEO directly at https://wa.me/84937869689.
