ChatGPT schema markup validator

Updated

Paste a URL or code and Leadee checks every JSON-LD, microdata and RDFa item against the full schema.org vocabulary and Google's rich-result rules, the same deterministic engine behind Leadee's general Schema Markup Validator — framed here for readers checking whether their structured data is readable by an AI engine like ChatGPT. Not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.

Run it now

Leadee is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI. “ChatGPT”, “GPTBot” and the other names on this page are OpenAI's own, used only to describe what this tool measures.

What this checks

  • Every JSON-LD, microdata and RDFa item against the full schema.org vocabulary
  • Google's documented rich-result requirements, feature by feature
  • A deterministic corrected version of the markup, to copy

Example result

Example

1 critical

  • JSON-LD block has a syntax error
  • Deprecated schema.org term used
  • Pending (draft) term used

How to read your result

A syntax error or a missing required property blocks any machine reader, AI or otherwise, outright — fix those first. Deprecated or pending terms still parse today and are lower priority.

Limitations

This checks schema.org validity and Google's documented rich-result rules — OpenAI has not published which schema.org types, if any, ChatGPT itself reads or weights, so this page makes no claim that any specific type is "used by ChatGPT"; valid markup only removes ambiguity for any machine reader.

How to fix what it finds

  1. Enter a page URL, or paste HTML or raw JSON-LD code.
  2. Read the eligibility table and the plain-English explanation of each issue.
  3. Fix the red (critical/high) issues first.
  4. Copy the suggested corrected code, or open it in the Schema Markup Generator.

Questions

Is this tool affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI?

No. Leadee is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI. "ChatGPT" is used only to describe the kind of AI reading this check supports.

Does OpenAI document which schema.org types ChatGPT uses?

No — unlike Google, which documents specific rich-result types per schema.org type, OpenAI has not published a list of schema.org types ChatGPT reads or prioritizes. This tool checks general schema.org validity and Google's rich-result rules only; it does not claim any type is specifically used by ChatGPT.

Is this a different engine from the general Schema Markup Validator?

No — same engine, same schema.org vocabulary and Google rich-result rules, same corrected code; this page frames the result for readers asking specifically about AI reading rather than Google Search.

Does valid schema guarantee ChatGPT cites this page?

No — valid, complete structured data removes ambiguity about who/what a page is about, which is a precondition for accurate attribution, but no markup can guarantee a citation from any AI engine.

Can GEO guarantee results?

No. AI answer engines change their output frequently, and no vendor — including Leadee — can guarantee a ranking or a mention. Leadee publishes confidence intervals on every metric so you can see how much a result can vary run to run.

How does Leadee measure AI visibility?

Leadee runs your prompt set against each AI engine on a weekly to daily schedule, depending on plan, through official vendor APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Perplexity, Anthropic, DataForSEO) — never by scraping consumer chat interfaces — and reports mention rate, citation rate, average position, share of voice and sentiment with a 95% confidence interval.
